|Love to Quilt
expresses how I feel about piecing quilts, machine quilting, and sewing in general.
I can remember watching my mother sew garments on an old treadle machine that had been my grandmother’s and being fascinated by the process. I started sewing doll clothes at an early age and quickly moved on to sewing my own clothes.
After that, I moved on to complete garment construction for customers and for years I did extensive alterations at an upper-end women’s clothing store.
I owned and operated a computerized embroidery business prior to purchasing my Gammill quilting machine. As you can probably tell, I have loved working on a variety of sewing machines for as long as I can remember.
The goal of my business is to provide a completed quilt the customer will enjoy and treasure for years, featuring exceptional workmanship at a competitive price. For me, quilting on my longarm machine is truly a labor of love. It's a great way for me to express my creativity and share the huge variety of techniques available in a variety of applications. I appreciate the fact that someone has put a lot of time, money and energy into the quilt by the time it gets to me and I feel honored they have selected me to complete the process for them.
I consider the fabric, quilt pattern, and intended use when selecting “just the right application” for your quilt. I evaluate every quilt as though it were going to be displayed in my own home and always give it the time and attention it deserves to achieve the best result and to best enhance the overall quilt design.
I have a huge selection of patterns, books, stencils, gadgets, tools, ideas etc, from which to choose. I offer three pricing levels depending upon how simple or complex your quilting design. However, most of the work I do falls into the custom category.
